Proposed Indicators for Financial Year 2008

Energy and Greenhouse
  • Achieve a weighted average electricity use intensity of 100kWh/m2 by March 2010.
  • Achieve a weighted average ABGR rating of 4.5 stars by March 2010.
  • Achieve a weighted average CO2 emission intensity of 120kg.CO2/m2 by March 2010.
Water
  • Achieve a weighted average water use intensity of 725L/m2 by March 2010.
  • Achieve a weighted average NABERS rating of 3.5 stars by March 2010.
Waste
  • Commence detailed reporting of contractor C&D stats and achieve >60% diversion across all projects by 31 March 2008.
  • Divert 70% of C&I waste from landfill to recycling by 31 March 2008.
Health and Safety
  • Maintain NSCA FiveStar rating
Productivity, Wellbeing and Amenity
  • Implement only Low VOC paints in all base building works by March 2008.

Energy and Greenhouse
  • Develop initiatives to improve the take up of options to reduce energy use (such as solar hot water) by Clarendon clients.
  • Design in automatic lighting and air conditioning controls to minimise energy wastage in display homes.
Water
  • Develop initiatives to improve the take up of options to reduce water use by Clarendon clients.
  • Investigate the use of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) on all sites.
Materials
  • Review materials use in Clarendon Homes and investigate opportunities to reduce the overall environmental impact of our houses.
  • Develop Housing Design Guidelines which include minimum sustainability specifications and standards for all housing.
  • Review procurement tenders and further upgrade sustainability considerations.
Waste
  • Standardise and raise standards in waste management planning and implementation.
Biodiversity
  • Report actions to enhance ecology of sites.
  • Raise standards in design of new developments.
Social Equity
  • Develop strategy for social sustainability.
  • Develop smaller, affordable product to service first home buyer market.
Community Engagement
  • Expand home-buyer education initiatives, including training for Clarendon staff.

  • 40% reduction in water consumption compared with the current average home design.
  • 100% of single houses (on our own developments) that achieve 5 star NatHERS or greater.
  • Percentage of sites with a Waste Management Plan.
  • Number of pollution/potential to pollute incidents.
  • 100% of projects with an appropriate Vegetation Management Plan where threatened communities or species are found.
  • Erosion and sediment control measures in place on 100% of sites during construction and operation.
  • 100% of projects with community consultation plan prepared and implemented.
  • 20% of projects with education materials/training about sustainability.

INVESTA COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENTS

Energy and Greenhouse
  • Commit to accredited ABGR weighted average rating of 4.5 stars for new commercial developments.
  • Commit to accredited Green Star weighted average rating of 4.5 stars for new commercial developments.
  • Commit all Industrial developments to accredited Green Star ratings 4 stars in our Commercial Developments.
Water
  • Commit to accredited NABERS Water weighted average rating of 4.0 stars in our Commercial Developments.
Materials
  • Research industrial ecology and options for implementation on Investa Industrial Developments.
  • Report volume and balance of site cut and fill on land subdivision.
Waste
  • Commence detailed reporting of construction materials and site environmental impacts (mass and volume) for all developments commencing site works after 1 April 2007.
Biodiversity
  • Report actions to enhance ecology of sites.
  • Report all instances of ecological or heritage significance encountered.
Community Engagement
  • Develop plan for enhancing sustainability across Investa Commercial Developments.
  • Enhance knowledge transfer across the Commercial Developments business.
